For real?!
My friend, Katie Brown and I went maternity clothes shopping a few weeks ago….and this is the pic we got from the trip. Talk about growing QUICKLY! Have you ever been to a store that will actually let you try on a belly?! We asked for one just to see how these maternity tops would fit me once baby gets a bit bigger (notice that the baby will always be the one getting bigger…not me…never me…always the baby). So this is the look that I anticipate. No other part of my body will get bigger, only my belly….in denial maybe?!

4th Anniversary!
I’m a few weeks behind on getting a post up about our anniversary, but wanted to let you all know that Mike and I are 4 GLORIOUS years into our marriage. We are so thankful to be with each other and are so glad to celebrate being together. It was quite a low key celebration. I think we just stayed home and watched a movie because our main gift to each other was a trip to France with our friends Mark and Carmela (pictures to come soon hopefully). So we saved money to have a nice meal out in Monte Carlo. Mike did, however, get me these lovely roses for our anniversary, which are still kickin’ on our kitchen table! Amazing!

We had the joy of being in France when we reached our halfway point! At week 20 the baby is considered to be the size of a small cantaloupe….growing by the day!

Crabs with the Arbo’s!
These are our friends Matt and Ashli Arbo. Matt and Mike are in University together and Ashli and I…well, we do coffee together. We’ve enjoyed their friendship a lot since being here and were already planning to have them over for a meal, when upon hearing of my…let’s all it a passion…for crabs, Ashli recommended that they try crabs with us…if we were up for it. Are you kidding me?! I’m ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS up for crabs! So, this is their first attempt, though I think Matt has done this before, at crab pickin’! We had a great time…and pizza as a back up in case it wasn’t filling or wasn’t what anyone had expected. Lots of fun! Thanks for trying out crabs with us, guys….it was great fun!
And then Ashli made this delicious fresh fruit over scones with a yummy sauce for dessert….we didn’t have room to fit all of the goodness in!
I take this moment to apologize publicly for the shell that cracked from my crab and into Ashli’s sweet little face. Girl, way to take one for the team!

Rugby

| Rugby |
I was THRILLED to have won free tickets to a rugby tournament through work. Mike and I have wanted to go to a rugby match at some point while here an have just not found the time or money to make it happen. the rugby teams had been coming to the gym throughout the week to prepare for the tournament and ended up giving our gym 8 sets of free tickets! Those who were interested put their name into a drawing…and Mike and I were one of the sets that won! We were so excited! And the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Typically the weather is overcast with a light rain…but this day was gorgeous and without a cloud in the sky. We seriously could not have asked for more! If your a sports fan, enjoy some of these shots!
It should be noted that rugby is usually played with 15 players per team, but these was the seven’s tournament, meaning that each team only had 7 players. This allowed for very fast paced games with quick scoring. They were no sooner on the pitch than it was half time already and then the end of the game. We saw teams from Kenya, Georgia, France, Spain, Argentina, Portugal, Fiji (who ended up winning the tournament), Australia, New Zealand and of course, SCOTLAND! And funny enough, the states also had a team there….yeah, we don’t play rugby well….it’s just not our sport.

Let the crab fest begin! Mike and I have waited for quite a while to enjoy these delicious crabs! We kept passing by them at the fishmonger, just waiting for the right evening to enjoy some peace and quiet…to turn on some music and pick away! And the evening finally came! We enjoyed it so much…this is my favorite food in all the world, and I just had a blast! If you don’t like seafood, feel free to not look through the pictures…you won’t like what you see.
